How it works

One call or request gets you to a basement finishing contractor who works in your part of Fargo-Moorhead.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us the town and what you're picturing: a first finish on a bare basement, a remodel of an old rec room, a bathroom, a bedroom, or a bar and theater space.

  2. We connect you with a local company

Your call or request goes to an independent basement finishing contractor that serves Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead and Horace.

  3. The company takes it from there

They visit, design, quote, permit and build the job. Prices, schedules, warranties and terms come from them, not from us.

What we are and aren't

Fargo Basement Finishing is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't employ carpenters, electricians or plumbers, we don't set prices, and we don't do any of the work. Using the site is free for homeowners.

Checking a contractor before you sign

In North Dakota, the Secretary of State licenses contractors, and a license is required on jobs over $4,000. In Moorhead, Minnesota's Department of Labor and Industry licenses residential building contractors and remodelers. Ask for the license number, who will pull each permit, and a written quote that spells out the rooms, insulation, electrical, plumbing, flooring, what's excluded and what's warrantied. Our Fargo basement finishing guide has a list of questions to ask.
